This Privacy Policy outlines how the clinical practice of Dr. Satish Durgesh (MCh Surgical Gastroenterology, JIPMER AIR-1) at NJ Hospital Mysore collects, processes, encrypts, and retains personal and sensitive health information (SPHI) gathered through our teleconsultation portal (drsatishdurgesh.com).

2. Health Information & Documents We Collect

When you schedule an online video consultation, we collect only the information necessary for clinical assessment, accurate diagnosis, and treatment planning:

Patient Demographics: Full name, age, gender, contact number (WhatsApp), and email address.
Clinical Chief Complaint: Symptoms, duration, past medical/surgical history, and current medications.
Diagnostic Documents & Imaging: Blood investigations (LFT, KFT, CBC), ultrasound reports, contrast-enhanced CT scans, MRI images, endoscopy/colonoscopy reports, histopathology biopsies, and wound photographs.
Consultation Metadata: Appointment slot, date, transaction ID, and Zoom meeting identifier.

3. Purpose of Document Collection (Sole Medical Use)

All medical records and scans you provide are used strictly and exclusively for:

Our live video consultations utilize encrypted Zoom Meeting SDK embedded client sessions directly in your mobile or computer browser without requiring third-party software downloads.

End-to-End Encryption: Audio, video, and in-call messaging streams are encrypted in real-time.
No Secret Recording: Consultations are never recorded without your explicit prior informed consent.
Doctor-Patient Privilege: Only Dr. Satish Durgesh (and verified clinical assistants or multi-disciplinary specialists invited at your request) have access to the consultation chamber.

5. Patient Rights & Grievance Redressal

Under Indian digital data privacy laws, you possess the right to:

Request early deletion of your uploaded documents prior to the 3-month auto-deletion window.
